American Airlines in a nutshell

American Airlines, founded in 1926, is a major American airline. Its headquarters are located in Fort Worth, Texas. Its humongous fleet consist of around 945 aircraft. The airline serves about 350 destinations. Passengers can book American Airlines flight tickets for cities like Buenos Aires, Vancouver, Shanghai and Athens. 

Baggage Allowance
Carry- ons
All travelers are permitted to take along one piece of carry-on baggage along with one personal item. The dimensions of the carry-on baggage should not exceed 22 x 9 x 14 inches, while the dimensions of the personal item should not be more than 18 x 8 x 14 inches. The personal item must be small enough to fit under the seat in front of you. The carry-on baggage must be small enough to fit in the overhead bin or under the seat in front of you. If the carry-ons don’t fit into these places, then they’ll have to be checked-in.

Checked Baggage
The checked baggage allowance depends on your travel class, your flight route and the status of your AAdvantage membership. A checked baggage fee may be applicable on all or some of the pieces of checked baggage you take along with you. The linear dimension of any of the checked baggage cannot be more than 62 inches. For Economy Class, the maximum weight limit per bag is 50 lb. For Business Class and First Class, the maximum weight limit per bag is 70 lb.
