Being the second largest airline operating in Mexico, Volaris is a low-cost air carrier based out of Santa Fe in Álvaro Obregón municipality. Founded in 2004, it began its operations in the following year. The airline has its different hubs at Guadalajara, Mexico City and Tijuana, and its focus cities include Los Angeles, Cancún, Monterrey and León. In regard to carry-on baggage, the airline permits passengers to bring 2 items in-cabin with them but their combined weight must be less than 22 lb. The dimensions of the bag must not exceed 22.4 in x 15.7 in x 12.9 in to be accepted in the cabin.
The passengers are allowed to carry maximum 5 bags with them in checked baggage as long as the weight of each bag doesn’t weigh more than 55 lb. A piece of baggage weighing more than 55 lb will be taken as overweight baggage and must be less than 99.2 lb.
